0871 is a UK non geographic number that has a fixed cost to callers of 10 pence per minute at all times from BT landlines (other network costs may vary and calls from mobiles will cost considerably more) and you earn revenue for each call received. Bear in mind that 0871 numbers can generally only be dialed from within the UK, (whether a number can be dialled from outside the UK is dependent upon the provider you are using to dial e.g. mobile, landline, IP, Skye etc..).
